Sugar Busters Diet Plan to Stay Trim and Look Gorgeous

Sugar busters diet plan involves having 3 to 6 meals per day as per the schedule and convenience of the dieter. Intake of plenty of fruits and juices is recommended. Also, when following this low sugar diet, one must not eat after 8 PM. There is no restriction on the portion size of meals, although overeating must be avoided.

When following the sugar busters diet plan, the dieter must avoid all food that are high in glycemic index. Some of such foods are refined sugar, honey, corn syrup, carrots, potatoes, corn, sugared sodas, candies, cakes, pastries, ice creams, beets, white rice, white bread, pasta, ripe bananas, refined flour, molasses, pineapple and many such foods which are high in sugar. Any sweet must be completely eliminated from the diet and for those who have a craving for sweets, artificial sweeteners can be used.

Almost all the foods which are not high in sugar are not allowed to be taken during sugar busters diet plan. Most of the vegetables like beans, peas, cabbage, lentils, cucumbers, broccoli, onions, lettuce, spinach, mushrooms, asparagus, eggplant and celery are recommended as a part of sugar busters diet plan.

Fruits like apples, lemons, cherries, raspberries, tomatoes, pears, grapefruits, kiwis, oranges etc must be included in the diet. Intake of fruits is preferred to fruit juices, since the fruits contain fiber which is not present in the juices extracted. Taking fruits half an hour before the meal is considered best. Dairy products can be taken, but without the addition of sugar.

Fish, eggs and sea food are allowed in sugar busters diet plan. Lean meats can also be taken. Butter in moderate quantities can be taken. Saturated fat can be included in the sugar busters diet plan, but it must not exceed 10% of the diet. Alcoholic beverages preferably red wine can be taken with meal. Coffee or beverages containing caffeine can be taken but must be limited to 2-3 cups per day.

Eliminating the refined sugar from the diet is one of the major factors that contribute to weight loss. Sugar busters diet plan provides around 1200 calories per day. And dieters on 1200 calories can significantly reduce weight to some extent. Above all, this low sugar diet can be extremely helpful for people with diabetes, by helping in controlling blood sugar levels.
